HOPE STREET - SOUTHERN SECTION

Elizabeth Frink's 'The Welcoming Christ', 1993.
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral - Memorial in stone to David Sheppard, bishop of Liverpool 1975-97.

With a fascinating cathedral at each end, Hope Street is where the city of Liverpool really punches above its weight.  There are so many stories to tell here that the walking tour of Hope Street is split into a northern and southern section.

In the southern section The Beatles have a big role.  We also pass a girls' school with a controversial past, an early hospital for alternative medicine, two men shaking hands across an historical divide, the home of a world class orchestra, a world class pub and a story of Liverpool philanthropy.

Tours lasts approx 1.25hrs (75 minutes)
