ST NICHOLAS CHURCHYARD

St Mary del Quay, bronze, by Arthur Dooley.
The church's only stained glass window depicts St Mary and St Nicholas, patron saint of sailors.

We meet the work of a brilliant, eccentric local sculptor, a window of reconciliation, the largest British-registered ship to have been lost at sea, the whole story of Liverpool's most iconic building, and much more.  This tour involves only 200m walking on level ground as there is so much to see in a small area.  It is fairly well sheltered by the surrounding buildings but the breeze off the river can be cold so please wrap up well.

Tour lasts approx 1.25 hours (75 minutes)

Meet outside the entrance to the church.
