Memorial to Heroes of the Marine Engine Room, by William Goscombe John, 1916
Prince's Dock Footbridge, steel, 2001, side view.

We'll meet a founding member of the first School of Tropical Medicine in the world, walk across a symbol of Liverpool's involvement in the 19th century whaling trade, hear the tragic tale of the man who brought fresh drinking water to emigrants and dock workers, see a special characteristic of each of the Fab4, and much more...

This tour is entirely on the flat with a walk of almost a mile.  There can be a cool breeze coming up the Mersey so please wrap up well!

Tour lasts approx 1.25 hours (75 minutes)
